Das DFG-Geförderte Projekt „Targeting tissue-resident memory T cell in autoimmune kidney disease“ wird geleitet von Prof. Dr. med. Christian Krebs (Translationale Immunologie / Systemnephrologie und Zelluläre Immunität, UKE) und im HCTI durchgeführt. Das Projekt beschäftigt sich mit der hochdimensionalen Einzelzellanalyse von Immunzellen aus der Niere von Patient:innen mit Autoimmunerkrankungen (Krebs et al. Immunity 2016, Krebs et al. Science Immunolgy 2020; Marouf et al. Nature Communications 2020; Zhao et al. Science Immunology 2021), mit dem Ziel neue Therapieansätze für unsere Patient:innen zu identifizieren und zu etablieren. Insbesondere soll dabei die therapeutische Applikation von Zell-depletierenden Nanobodies im Gewebe etabliert werden.
Der neu gegründete Forschungsprofilbereich HCTI, inkl. Forschungsneubau, bietet optimale Bedingungen für internationale Spitzenforschung im Bereich der Translationalen Immunologie und Systembiologie.
